Why am I banned/muted?

If you are looking to appeal a ban or mute, please click here.

Why have I been muted?

A mute stops you from talking on the server. We issue these type of punishments to users who are not affecting gameplay with their actions, but are rather abusing their chat permissions. For example; you might have been muted if you:

  • Have been rude to other players
  • Have been spamming the chat
  • Have been swearing
  • Have been advertising

All mutes are backed up by a chat log. If you feel your mute was a misunderstanding, then please appeal.

Why have I been banned?

A ban stops you joining The Hive for a set period of time, sometimes even permanently. Bans are often used to combat people that are adversely affecting the gameplay experience for other users. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Hacking
  • Boosting
  • Glitching
  • Targetting
  • Random DeathMatch (TIMV)

All bans are backed up by evidence, often in video format. If you feel a ban was a misunderstanding, then please appeal.

Please note: Contacting a moderator on the server or via the forums will not get you unbanned or unmuted. You must appeal via the correct methods.
